Role and Responsibilities

    1. Support the Little Sister’s development of academic, professional and interpersonal competencies
    2.  Agree to, and schedule uninterrupted time with the Little Sister.
    3. Create a supportive and trusting environment.
    4. Listen actively and act as a sounding board.
    5. Openly and honestly share “lessons learned” from your own experience.
    6. Provide helpful and constructive feedback.
    7. Provide “wise counsel” on matters raised by the Little Sister.
    8. Provide unbiased insights and ideas from a third point-of-view
    9. Act as a resource/connector for the Little Sister
    10. Seek assistance from the program team as and when needed on the mentoring approach.
    11. Fill a few brief assessments about the progress of the mentoring relationship and share your experience with the program.
    12. Report to the program team if the relationship with the Little Sister(s) is not working out as planned or if there is a scheduling conflict.
